If you can perform the below test on the bottle & Cartridge this generally assists with the issue you are experiencing.
There is light layer of food grade silicone lubrication on the Floating Seal of the cartridge and sometimes during production we inadvertently apply slightly too much lubrication. Give the seal, as well as the interior of the Outer Refill a good wipe down with a clean, dry cloth. You may even want to remove the cartridge and wash the bottle components (Outer Refill, Inner Press, Drink Cap) with soap and warm water. Without the necessary "friction" between the Floating Seal and Outer Refill, water may be able to escape between the seal and the outer. Also, check the Floating Seal. Sometimes, the seal is not seated properly within the cartridge channel, and this can cause water to escape through the seal in between the Outer Refill and Inner Press. To remedy, please remove the seal and reinstall it back in the channel.

If none of these options remedy the situation, we can take the next steps to resolve this issue as a new cartridge will likely fix the problem.
